Applications for Fellowship are invited from those who have made a substantial contribution to entomology, through publications or other evidence of achievement. Applications for a Fellowship are referred to a Committee of Council, who then forward a recommendation to Council. As a guide, the Committee looks for the kind of achievement possible over six years of productive work. Fellows are entitled to make use of the title "Fellow of the Royal Entomological Society" and the suffix "FRES" may be regarded as an academic qualification.
Application forms for Fellowship and Membership can be obtained from the Registrar , or downloaded from the respective fellowship and membership application pages. Applicants must be over 18 years of age.
