DESCRIPTION:Outreach\, Culture & Education SIG: Insects in Culture – a reflection on the beauty and aesthetic potential of the Hymenopteran \n\n\n\nThursday 26 November\, 10:00 – 16:00 Natural History Museum (Neil Chalmers Lecture Theatre)\, London \n\n\n\nThis fascinating day is being organised by our Outreach\, Culture & Education Special Interest Group\, and will comprise a morning of short talks followed by an afternoon tour of the Hymenoptera collections. Entomologists from the museum will introduce the complexity and diversity of this group of insects and artists will offer presentations on their interpretations of bees\, ants and wasps.   \n\n\n\nThis is an opportunity for entomologist to interact with artists and for artists to be inspired by this fascinating group. \n\n\n\nThe event will be capped at 40 to ensure everyone is able to attend a behind the scenes tour. \n\n\n\nPlease note that refreshments and lunch will not be provided but there will be an opportunity to purchase refreshments from the museum café\, or delegates are welcome to bring lunch with them.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRegistration – Open below!\n\n\n\nNote: By registering for and attending this event\, you acknowledge that photographs and/or video recordings may be taken. Early registration guarantees your place and helps us plan more effectively for everyone attending.  \n\n\n\nThe lecture will start at 16:30\, there will be tea and coffee available from 16:00.
