Outcome of Special Meeting 7th October 2020

7th October 2020

Dear Members and Fellows,

Thank you so much to everyone who attended the Special Meeting today and to all those who sent messages in advance of this meeting. I am delighted to announce that, following the vote at the Special Meeting today, the resolution “It is hereby resolved that the Bye-Laws be altered as proposed and adopted as the Bye-Laws of the Society in lieu of and to the exclusion of all existing Bye-Laws of the Society” has been passed. There were 45 votes in favour, two votes against and three abstentions.

I hope to see you all at the forthcoming AGM which will either be in December 2020 or early 2021. Meanwhile please do contact me if you have any questions or comments - it is an honour to be the President of the Royal Entomological Society and I am looking forward to hearing your thoughts and working alongside you all.

With very best wishes,

Helen (on behalf of the RES Council)

Prof Helen Roy MBE Hon FRES
