As the world population increases the requirement for additional foods will become a pressing need. Insects are already enthusiastically consumed in many parts of the tropics so it makes sense to explore their possible role in western diets. The new SIG will bring together scientists, farmers, food technologists and chefs to examine the vast range od possibilities offered by these novel foods and will report on current research and industry innovations. Anyone with an interest in the area is welcome to attend.
