Chief Executive Officer
Simon Ward is the RES Chief Executive Officer. He has significant experience in the charitable sector with a focus in ecology and geography.
Simon studied for an MRes in Ecology and Environmental Management at the University of York and a BSC (Hons) in Environmental Biology at the University of the West of England. Simon was previously the Head of Field Studies Council East Region and Education Lead.
He is a Trustee of the Council for Learning Outside the Classroom, a Fellow of both the Royal Society of Biology and the Royal Geographical Society, and a former member of the British Ecological Society’s Education and Careers Committee.
