Genomics is increasingly being seen as a tool that can be applied to facilitate research in a wide variety of areas, and the availability of insect genomes has increased rapidly. these tools are becoming increasingly widely available as sequencing costs continue to plummet. The goal of this SIG is to bring together both genomics practitioners and those who are just starting out or planning to use genomics techniques in Entomology. We hope to cover a range of topics including new technologies, bioinformatic challenges and specific projects across entomology that involve genomic techniques.
