Opportunity – Special Interest Group Convenors and Co-Convenors

The Society’s 23 Special Interest Groups act as a focal point for those interested in specific aspects of entomology. They each organise a meeting every year or two and are increasingly providing a forum for communication and ideas exchange between specialists. Convenors of some SIGs are looking for support to help increase value to members.

We are specifically looking for convenors and co-convenors for the following SIGs, although undoubtedly convenors of all SIGs would be delighted to receive offers of help:

Convenors needed:

• Data (Retiring convenor James Gilbert)
• Food and Feed (Retiring convenor Peter Smithers)

Co-Convenors needed:

• Aphids (soon to be expanded to all Hemiptera) (Convenor Tom Pope)
• Climate Change (Convenor Scott Hayward)
• Data (Convenor James Gilbert)
• Imaging (Convenor Martin Daniel-Vega)
• Taxonomy (Convenor Andy Polaszek)
