Huge thank you to everyone for your support during the Big Give Earth Raise Campaign
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who supported the Royal Entomological Society’s Big Give Earth Raise 2026 campaign.
Thanks to your generosity and the power of match funding, we have secured an amazing £10,400 in funding to facilitate educational activities, resources and events over five city hubs to help young people and communities access entomology in a real way this Insect Week coming up in June 2026.
Your support will have a lasting impact on how people across the UK and Ireland connect with insect science.
What Your Support Makes Possible
Because of your support, Insect Week in June 2026 will be able to:
- Bring free, hands-on insect science to communities across five city hubs
- Reach thousands of people, many experiencing insects up close for the very first time
- Support young people and under-served communities to access science and nature
- Deliver engaging activities including microscope sessions, wildlife walks, citizen science, creative workshops and more.
From a child’s first look at an insect under a microscope to inspiring future scientists, your support helps create meaningful, lasting connections with the natural world.
A Week of Impact
During the campaign (22–29 April), every donation, large or small, contributed to something bigger.
With match funding through Big Give Earth Raise, your generosity has gone twice as far, helping us expand access to insect science and inspire curiosity, understanding and action.
Your support will directly power the expansion of Insect Week across Cardiff, Liverpool, Dublin, Edinburgh, and London. Each city hub will host free, accessible events designed to inspire curiosity, build confidence in science and connect communities with nature.
This is more than a fundraising campaign – it’s an investment in the future of biodiversity, education and environmental awareness.
Thank You for Being Part of This
Every donation, every share and every message of support has helped us take a step forward in our mission to champion insect science, inspire young people and safeguard biodiversity for the future.
Together, we are ensuring that more people from all backgrounds can discover the fascinating world of insects and understand their vital role in our lives.
Thank you for standing tall for the small
