Immunology
The aim of this special interest group is to foster exchange between researchers studying different aspects of the interactions between insects and their pathogens, parasites, symbionts and microbiomes. Our topics therefore encompass the immune interplay between insects and their associates along the continuum of mutualists to antagonists. We welcome a broad range of research perspectives: from molecular biology, biochemistry and physiology through to medical entomology, ecology, evolution and behaviour. By actively encouraging those from diverse research areas to come together, we hope to build a more complete picture of these important interactions.
