The Royal Entomological Society (RES) is proud to announce its new partnership with 1% for the Planet, becoming an official environmental partner in the global effort to tackle the planet’s most pressing environmental issues.
Founded in 1833, the Royal Entomological Society has long been dedicated to the study and advancement of insect science. This new affiliation with 1% for the Planet reflects the Society’s enduring commitment to biodiversity, conservation, control and sustainability.
“We are delighted to become an environmental partner with 1% for the Planet.
Insects play a vital role in maintaining the health of ecosystems, and this partnership strengthens our ability to protect and promote insect biodiversity on a global scale.”
– Anne Weinhold
Business Development & Fundraising Manager
1% for the Planet connects businesses and individuals with vetted environmental partners to accelerate smart environmental giving. Through this partnership, RES is eligible to receive funding from member companies committed to donating 1% of their annual sales to environmental causes.
Participating in the scheme not only helps support environmental practices, but also opens doors to new relationships, opportunities, and a broader platform for RES to promote insect science as a cornerstone of environmental health, knowledge and climate resilience.
