Together we can create greater global impact for insect science
We pride ourselves on working in collaboration with others to achieve greater impact for insect science that is cutting-edge and makes ground-breaking contributions to both academic and industry sectors.
That’s why we’ve developed our organisational membership scheme. Join us and benefit from exclusive access to our community, events, conferences and more.
Through the membership, your organisation can engage with us in meaningful ways, enabling colleagues to access discounted individual membership with full access to our journal portfolio, attend and present at our conferences, with the whole team increasing opportunities to engage through our publications and membership communications.
As a member, you can contribute to our work with policymakers in parliament, helping us to have a voice with governments, national agencies and other important stakeholders. We want to ensure evidence and data from the latest science is used to help make better decisions.
We look forward to working with our organisational members and to welcoming new members to the Royal Entomological Society.

Better insect science for everyone
The support we receive from our organisational members strengthens our role as a leading entomological Society. Your support will ensure we have a strong voice with governments to ensure decisions are made following the latest science and research evidence.
Your support also helps us engage with thousands of volunteers, members and supporters in more impactful and meaningful ways like funding special events, bespoke training and providing grants and awards to our membership to further their research.
Eleanor Ormerod Award for Application and Practice
Organisational Members are encouraged to nominate and celebrate their colleagues and stakeholders for the Royal Entomological Society’s Eleanor Ormerod Award for Application and Practice of Insect Science.
Celebrating the legacy of Eleanor Anne Ormerod (1828-1901), a pioneer in applied entomology, the award recognises the work of entomologists who have applied their expertise to tackle real-world challenges in fields such as agriculture, horticulture, ecology, veterinary and medical entomology, and insect farming.
This is a great way to recognise real achievement. Individual winners of the award receive a certificate, an award of £400 and complimentary RES membership for one year.
How to join the scheme
