Whether they’re an aspiring entomologist, a lifelong insect enthusiast, a student, researcher, conservationist, or someone who simply finds joy in the wonders of the natural world, gifting RES membership is a way to give them opportunity, community, and knowledge that lasts all year.

Why a Gift Membership means so much

When you purchase a Gift Membership, you’re not just buying a present – you’re opening the door to a world of scientific connection, learning, and contribution.

Join a Global Learned Society

The RES has been advancing insect science since 1833.

By gifting membership, you’re inviting someone into a respected international community working to understand and protect the little things that underpin life on Earth.

Join a community of researchers, artists and scientists alike dating back to the 1800s, with names including Charles Darwin (1838), Alfred Russel Wallace (1870) and even Queen Elizabeth II , who signed the RES Obligations Book in 1985, to name just a few.
