Grants awarded up to £500 to support the communication and public engagement activities of students in entomology.

Timeline: There are three application periods in 2025:
First round: open 1 January, closes 16 April 2025
Second round: Opens 1 July, closes 17 September 2025
Third round: Opens 5 October, closes 5 December 2025
We aim to notify all applicants within two months of the application closing dates.
Applications should be submitted at least three months prior to the expedition or event.
Note: If you are successfully awarded this grant, you will not be eligible to receive it again for 24 months. Any applications submitted within this period will not be considered. You are, however, welcome to apply for our other awards and grants during this time. |

Fund criteria
Grants to support activities which further the Society’s aims. To support the communication and public engagement activities of students in entomology and can include activities for Insect Week.
Grants are available to Student Members only.
Adjudication – Determination of all aspects is by RES Outreach Committee
Eligibility
Undergraduate or Postgraduate Student Members.
Any project or purpose which fulfils the Society’s aims or stimulates interest in such aims.
