Prof. Rosemary Collier is an entomologist and applied ecologist based at the Warwick Crop Centre, internationally recognised for her pioneering contributions to horticultural science and sustainable pest management.
Her research focuses on developing environmentally responsible approaches to managing pests in horticultural crops, with a strong emphasis on methods that minimise ecological impact while supporting resilient food production systems. Through decades of applied research, Professor Collier has helped shape sustainable agricultural practices and improve understanding of integrated pest management strategies.
In recognition of her outstanding contributions to horticultural science, Professor Collier was awarded an OBE. She was also included in the Royal Entomological Society New Year Honours List 2025, celebrating her significant impact on entomology and applied ecology.
A longstanding Fellow of the Royal Entomological Society, Professor Collier has been actively involved with the RES for more than forty years and continues to support engagement across the entomological community. In 2017, she was invited as a guest speaker at the Society’s Student Forum, where she shared insights from her distinguished career and inspired the next generation of insect scientists.
