Chair of Membership Committee
Dr Maximillian Tercel FRES is an entomologist whose involvement with the Royal Entomological Society began as an undergraduate student in 2016. Since then, the Society has played an important role in supporting his academic and professional development, inspiring his commitment to ensuring that all members feel welcomed, valued and connected within the entomological community.
Max has extensive experience engaging with members through his previous role as an RES Student Representative, as well as through organising conferences, meetings and online events. His experience has given him a strong understanding of the opportunities and challenges faced by students and early-career professionals, and the importance of creating meaningful pathways for engagement throughout an entomological career.
As Chair of the Membership Committee, Max is committed to listening to members’ needs, strengthening the value of membership and helping the Society continue to evolve to support a diverse and growing community of entomologists.
