  • Attend our annual conference, Ento.
  • Advise as available on various areas of the Society’s strategic work, including membership, policy and public affairs and events and conferences.

  • Advise as available on various areas of the Society’s strategic work, including membership, policy and public affairs and events and conferences.
  • Join other RES Committee meetings depending on need and interests.
  • Mentor and support the President Elect (Year 3).

Year 4 – Past President:

  • Sit on the RES Council to support the running of the Society (5 meetings a year, including 2 in person, one as part of our annual conference, Ento).
  • Chair the RES Equity, Diversity and Inclusivity Committee.
  • Attend our annual conference, Ento.
  • Advise as available on various areas of the Society’s strategic work, including membership, policy and public affairs and events and conferences.
  • Advise and support the incoming President.

Want to work with the Society but not as President? Apply to be a Trustee instead

Alongside our call for President Elect, we are also seeking active and dynamic Members and Fellows to support the Royal Entomological Society in our committees.

As a RES Trustee, you will play a vital role in shaping and enhancing key strategic areas of the Society. Elected Trustees will serve a four-year term on Council and help build an exciting future for the Society and achieve its vision to enrich the world with insect science.
