This year, the Royal Entomological Society’s Insect Week is focused on insect decline and what we can do to address it.
This is a key theme in our ongoing project to address the key issues facing entomology, highlighted in the article Grand challenges in entomology: Priorities for action in the coming decades.
Celebrating the essential research we publish through our seven journals to support the Grand Challenges, we have put together a virtual issue which collects together new research from our journals broadly covering the crucial topic of insect decline and conservation.
Reading, reviewing for and publishing with the RES helps fund our work to enrich the world with insect science. Like most Learned Societies, the RES gets most of its income from its journals. This income not only financially sustains our journals, but also funds much of the Society’s important work to support insect science and entomologists around the world, including our recently announced ECR journal article prizes.
By publishing in, reviewing for, and reading our journals, you are supporting all of our work.
