The Royal Entomological Society is pleased to officially announce the results of its recent Trustee Elections which gave members the opportunity to vote for new trustees to help guide the Society’s mission to advance insect science worldwide.

From this September, we are delighted to welcome both re-elected and newly appointed trustees who will play a central role in guiding the Society’s work in advancing insect science and education in line with our latest Strategy.

Following the election, the Society welcomes and congratulates the following trustees:

  • Guðbjörg Inga (Gia) Aradóttir — Treasurer and Chair of Finance Committee (re-elected)
  • Shaun Winterton — Chair of Publications Committee (re-elected)
  • Richard Harrington — Chair of Events Committee (re-elected)
  • Heather Campbell — Chair of Education & Training Committee
  • Moses Musonda — Trustee (re-elected)
  • Anastasia Uglow — Early Career Trustee
  • Liam Crowley — Early Career Trustee

President Elect

In addition, the Society is delighted to announce the appointment of Professor Allan Watt Hon.FRES as President Elect.

Professor Watt brings extensive expertise and leadership in entomology, and his appointment marks an exciting step forward in the Society’s ongoing mission to promote insect science in support of biodiversity, conservation, and global challenges.
